I've known Kevin for over 50 years, and I can easily describe him in just two words - TRUE FRIEND.  I know some people use that term loosely, but I can tell you it sums up Griff perfectly.  In our high school days, we all enjoyed his infectious laugh as he and I shared some classes together and attended numerous concerts and sporting events.   He was always there, whether it was playing basketball at the park, wiffleball at the schoolyard, tennis,  pinochle or just having a beer at the Plank Road.  He was always on my Team or side and I can't remember many times where I competed against him.  Even after I moved away from Secaucus, I always got together with Griff when coming home to visit family for holidays and special occasions.  It was just a given that we would get together whenever I was in NJ.  He really became a part of the Spadafino/Casazza family as he attended parties and holiday get-togethers as he was always invited.  He was always up for a car ride to my Must Haves in Jersey - to Hoboken for a sandwich, to Newark for hot dogs or to Hackensack for crumb cake.  He would always go out of his way to help people like he did for his mother , their friend Annabelle and for the folks he worked with at The ARC.  He never thought of himself and was always there for me and others, just what you would expect from a TRUE FRIEND.  During his last few days, he kept saying he wanted to go home and that's where he eventually went, his home in heaven.  As I think back on my many years with Griff, there were only good memories and not enough of them as his life ended too soon.  I hope everyone can enjoy in their life what I had for many years and that I will miss dearly - a TRUE FRIEND.

Kevin, growing up with you is one thing we have on everyone, when it's said brotherly and sisterly bonds cannot be broken and it has never been truer over the last 15 years.  I can't remember our downs and all I do is smile about our ups.
Rest easy knowing Kendra will be care for and we will carry-on, when we feel blue your tremendous laugh you gifted us will put that smile on our face to remove all the obstacles thrown our way.
You were love, admired and missed by all.

Kevin and I shared many good times during our high school and college years going to out of the way clubs in NYC late at night (such as Hurrahs, Mud Club, etc.) to see bands and enjoy the music.  We liked many of the same bands (Genesis, Kate Bush, Wire, etc.).  We also shared many classes in high school, were in the Senior play together, and enjoyed camping at Round Valley Reservoir.    I regret losing touch with Kevin over the years, but I never forgot him and will never forget his warm sense of humor, zest for life, and the friendship he so graciously shared.
