Born in Molfetta, Italy to Giuseppina and Corrado Gadaleta.
Nicoletta was predeceased by her brother Damiano Gadaleta and his wife Maria, her sister Lorenza Carella and her husband Cleto, and her brother-in-law Gaetano Annese. She is survived by her beloved husband Domenico DeRobertis; her loving children Corrado DeRobertis, and Rosanna Cappelluti and her husband Vito; her cherished grandchildren Joseph John and Christopher Jacob Cappelluti; her dear siblings Giovanna DeGennaro and her husband Corrado, Maria Annese, and Giacoma Landolfo and her husband Corrado. Nicoletta also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, close family members, and dear friends.
Nicoletta had so much love to give to anyone that crossed her path. The instant you met her, she welcomed you with open arms and a warm smile. If you were at her house, she’d offer you some type of food or coffee to make you feel at home.
Nicoletta worked as a seamstress all her life, both at factories and out of her home. She was always up for a new sewing challenge- whether hemming a pair of pants or creating a new style of skirt- and she basked in her heart’s delight when her end result was worn. When she wasn’t sewing, or cooking or making her house spotless, she was devoted to her two grandkids, showering them with all the attention she so happily gave. Her grandkids knew that when they were with Nonna Nicoletta they always had the best time. She had special treats for them, celebrated their every whim and played numerous games- often being outnumbered and overtaken by two feisty little boys- always with the end result of bursts of laughter and memories treasured. As much as Nicoletta devoted to her grandkids, she also gave her whole heart to her loving kids and loving husband.
Her biggest motto in life was to do good and forgive no matter what transgression because everyone makes mistakes and we’re all God’s children. Nicoletta loved life. She chose to live that life surrounded in peace by being peaceful, and love by being loving. There wasn’t a day that would go by without Nicoletta singing and dancing to a tune. This, and her loving spirit will live forever.
