Robert J. Mitchell

Robert J. Mitchell , 78, of Secaucus, NJ, formerly of NYC entered into rest at home on Sunday February 7, 2010 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Margaret ”Sissy” Mitchell. Devoted father and father-in-law of Robert & Lauren Mitchell, Tracey & Frank Diovisalvi and Michele & John Buttgereit. Loving grandfather of Robert, Alyssa, Ryan, Brittany, Christian, Erin, Holly and Matthew. Dear brother of Lillian Wood and Dolores Francin. Robert served his country proudly in the US Army during the Korean War receiving the Purple Heart. He is retired from Chase Manhattan Bank in NYC and from The Secaucus Board of Education where he was a Custodian. Robert was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church where he was an Usher. Visitation will be held Tuesday February 9, 2010 from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus. (No Visitation on Wednesday). The family will gather with their relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 AM for a 11 AM Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception RC Church. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert may be made to The St. Jude Tribute Program
