Born in Union City to the late William and Margaret (McKiernan) O’Brien, Robert was a proud veteran of the 101st Airborne Infantry. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Schlagentweith) O’Brien, his daughter, Tara O’Brien, and one adoring grandchild, Shawn Katchula.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 17th, 2017 from 4-9PM at the Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, July 18th, 2017, 9:30AM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Secaucus. Entombment will follow in the Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
