Born and raised in Havana, Cuba Mr. Montes De Oca immigrated to the United States in 1954 in pursuit of the American Dream.
He served our country as a US Army Korean War Veteran.
He started Pan American Coffee Company in 1961 and built it to the great company it is today. He also became an ATP Licensed Pilot on his spare time, and flying around the world grew to be his lifetime passion, as well as skiing, and playing the Spanish Classical Guitar.
He is survived by his loving wife Ines of 64 years, 3 daughters Edilia Gerrity, Grisel Shock and her husband Walter, Ruth Santuccio and her husband Salvatore, his brother Edin Montes De Oca, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday December 17th from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9pm, Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 18th at 930am, Immaculate Conception Church, 1219 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. Entombment to follow, Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington, NJ.
