It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Susan Jane Kellenberger-Weiss on June 9, 2025 after complications suffered from a stroke. An alumna of Secaucus High School class of 1980, she was a lifelong resident of Secaucus, NJ.
Born on August 8, 1962, Susan was a beloved daughter of Richard and Eileen Kellenberger. She is survived by her sister Patricia Caruso and her husband Charles, nephew Dylan Caruso, niece Kendall Caruso, and husband Gary Weiss. She also leaves behind many loving and caring cousins, neighbors, and friends.
Susan will be remembered for her kind, sweet, friendly personality and was admired by many for her strong will and resilience. After suffering a traumatic brain injury at the age of 16, she endured years of extensive physical therapy, graduated from high school, completed secretarial school, traveled, and went on to have a fulfilling career as a secretary for the Special Services Department of the Secaucus Board of Education for over thirty years. Her determination and success at living an independent life is truly an inspirational miracle.
Many will recall Susan’s passion for the color pink, board games, ladybugs, cruises, The Brady Bunch, hamburgers, and chocolate chip cookies.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 9-10:30 AM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ. A 10:45 AM Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church for anyone wishing to attend. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Susan’s memory to The Brain Injury Alliance of NJ. (bianj.org/donate)
