Annette E Rasure

She was born in Tulare, California to Gilbert Brown and Patsy (Tabb) Brown on November 4, 1945. Her family moved to Oklahoma in the early 1950s, where she has resided since.

Annette graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1963. After graduation she enrolled in Draughon’s School of Business and graduated with top honors. Annette entered the workforce in the Civil Service field and retired in the spring of 2012 having over 45 years of service.

Annette met and married the love of her life, Richard Rasure in 1973. She and Richard celebrated their 40th anniversary on June 29th of this year.

Annette was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Her personality was as colorful as her taste, she had a real sense of style and class. She was a wonderful person with a compassionate and giving heart. Regardless of how she felt she would do all she could to brighten the days of others and make them feel special. Annette was an extremely hard worker, was meticulous with details and a perfectionist. Her God given gifts included giving, serving, ministering, and encouragement. She loved family, listening to music, seasonal decorating (especially Christmas) and road trips with her beloved Rich.

Annette was preceded in death by her grandparents, her dad, Gilbert Brown, and her sister, Sharon Brown.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; mother, Patsy Wilson; brother, Gilbert Brown Jr; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven and Deborah Rasure; Greg and Linda Rasure; eleven nieces and nephews Candy Rasure, Patrick and Sarah Rasure, Amanda and Joel Wood, Cathy Neal, William Rasure, Hannah and Jon Summers, Patrick and Mikael Brown; fourteen great nieces and nephews, many extended family who call her “Aunt Annie” and friends too numerous to count.

Funeral service will be 10 am Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.

A family visitation will be 6 – 8 pm on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
