Essie Olivia Collier

Essie Olivia Collier passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the age of 90 years. She was born on July 4, 1933, in Jacksboro, Texas to Abel Franklin Corgill and Mammie Sparks. Essie was a student of Harjo High School, where she played basketball. She had several jobs through the years, but she spent the last 15 years of her working career at Wolverine Tube, where she retired. Essie genuinely loved spending time with her family and taking care of her small dogs.

She is survived by her children Ronny Collier and his wife Patty Jo, Robert Collier, Barbara Collier, Kimberly Gilliam and her husband Brian; grandchildren, Amy Webb, Bryan Collier, Tracy Hawkins, Stacy Pike, Monica Collier, Tyler Collier, Madison Collier, Michael Gilliam, Rachel Watts, and Julia Gilliam. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Boyle, as well as her loving husband, Eugene Collier, to whom she was married for 44 years. She was also preceded in death by her 5 sisters and her mother and father.

A visitation for Essie will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801.
