Jack L. Johnston

Jackie "Jack" Lee Johnston left this life to return to his heavenly home on December 20th, 2015. A service celebrating Jack's life will be held on December 24th at 10:00am at Resthaven Funeral Home, and public visitation will be on December 23rd from 8:00am to 7:00pm.

Jack was born on February 13, 1933 in Byars, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1959. He went on to work at Tinker Air Force Base from which he retired. He was a member of the Shawnee VFW.

Jack was preceded in death by his father-Kirkland B. Johnston, mother-Lucille Jones, wife-Hazel Dean (Sloan) Johnston, sister-Elwanda Ingram, brother-Bill Johnston, son-Michael Len Johnston, and daughter-Sandra Diane (Sands) Benson.

Jack is survived by daughter Carol (Johnston) and her husband Terry Bryan of Safey Harbor, FL , daughter Karen (Johnston) and her husband Brad Mills of Stillwater, OK. Grandchildren-Michael V. Johnston, Alecia Clemmons, Shanna Brown, Justin Skelly, Nicole Smith, Corina Doshier, Eric Bryan, Jeromy Mills, Eric Mills, 15 great-grandchildren, cousins and a very special person in his life, Patricia Farris. In addition to family, he was loved by many great friends throughout his life.
