

Prague resident Joyce Maxine Vincent departed this life on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Prague, Oklahoma at the age of 81. She was born November 9, 1935 in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Luther and Pauline (Wiggins) Bryant. In the late 40’s the family moved to Paden, Oklahoma. She attended Paden High School and excelled in her favorite sport of basketball. In July of 1951 she met Merlin Vincent and they were married on April 10, 1952 in Okemah, Oklahoma and for the next sixty four years, seven months and five days (with the exception of travel requirements on his job, some times as long as three weeks), they were inseparable. Her other hobby was traveling and she and Merlin traveled extensively until her declining health limited the outings to local trips only.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Kay, mother and father, Pauline and Luther Bryant and sisters, Juanita Adams and Dorothy Davis.
Survivors include her husband, Merlin of the home, her daughter, Bonnie Sue, and grandchildren: April and Kyle Kerr all of Norman, Candy Lynn and Husband Daniel Cook, great grandsons: Bryce Murray and Ted Cook all of Bristow, Oklahoma, sister and brother-in-law, Charles and Ruby Adams of Paden, Floyd and sister-in-law Fay Bryant of Paden, Oklahoma, brother, Melvin Bryant of Boley, Oklahoma and a host of other family members and friends.
Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Shawnee, Oklahoma.
The Church of Christ in Paden, Oklahoma will host a Family and Friends Gathering beginning at 11 AM on Saturday, December 17, 2016.
