

Leslie Franklin Willmett was born January 6th, 1924 to Hallie Charles and Iva Mae (Richardson) Willmett in Lexington, OK and reunited with the love of his life Beatrice of 65 years on Monday, July 23rd, at St. Anthony hospital in Shawnee, OK. Leslie married Beatrice (Holland) Willmett January 12th, 1946 in Fredrick, OK. After a year of working in Oklahoma City, OK Les and Bea made their home for the next 45 years in Fort Worth, TX. Leslie worked his entire life as an airline mechanic and retired after 36 years of hard work from Braniff Airlines of Dallas, TX. Leslie was a devoted husband, a giving father, a wonderful Papa, a generous friend and an amazing man. His love of airplanes, tinkering and his family kept him young all his life. He was a family man who loved his wife, adored his children and he was a proud Papa. Leslie is lovingly survived by his son Hallie Willmett and wife Judy of Azle, TX; daughters Jowinna Thompson and husband Roy of Tecumseh and Euvonda Ledford and her husband Ronnie of Enid, OK. Grandchildren Rory Thompson and wife Tommi Jo, Troy Thompson and his wife Lesa, Wade Willmett and wife Angela, Wendy Barrington and husband Jamie, Carri Simunek and husband James, Jody Thompson and wife Ursla, Dusti Gragg and husband Jason and Rusty Ledford and wife Patricia; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, brother-in-laws, Jim and Don Holland of Mountain View, OK, Doyal Holland of Moore, OK; Sister-in-law, Linda Capps of Choctaw, OK, cousins and many more extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice, his parents, Hallie and Iva Mae, sister-in-laws Mary Holland and Ruby Holland.
