

Lindell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He grew up in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1964. After graduation, he went to work for Shawnee Plaining Mill then in 1966 moved his career to Tinker Air Force Base. You could find Lindell working with wood, sharpening his carpentry skills, and eventually owning his own cabinet making business. He enjoyed eating sweet snacks, caring for his flowers, hunting and fishing, camping and visiting civil war sites. He was a proud member of the Army National Guard for six years. He had three great accomplishments, finding the love of his life, Patsy Lakin, surviving his children, and having the best-maintained yard on the block. Lindell was a child of God and of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Jerry (Christy) Strain, Nikki (Bryan) Sparkman, and Sarah Troxel; sister, Deana Belshe; grandchildren: Chase Strain, Candace Strain, Conner Strain, Tristan Strain, Brenton West, Nathan Rodgers, Blake Rodgers, Ashlee Trammell, Amber Varney, Jessica Dowd, and Brittany Bishop; and 16 great grandchildren. Also, his caregivers for the past 5 years, Chris and Deana Belshe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Lakin; brother, Wendell Lakin; and his special canine friends, his dogs: Dixie and Doobie.
