Mary Joan Trammell

When Mary was eight years old they moved to Bolton, Kansas. It was a Quaker settlement.

She attended Independence High School. She graduated in May of 1947. In October of 1947 she married JC Smith in the Quaker Church. Of this union two daughters were born. Margaret Ann Smith 1-29-51 and Marilyn Sue Smith 2-4-54. Margaret was born in Independence, KS. Marilyn was born in Shawnee, OK.

In 1977, Mary married Jimmie Dale Trammell. They were married 25 years. They liked to travel. They were in every state but Alaska. They were making plans to go to Alaska when he died of cancer. They loved each other very much and now they will be together. Mary did get to go to Alaska with her daughter Marilyn and son-in-law Chuck.

She is preceded in death by her parents Allan and Georgia Eastman, and her husband Jimmie Trammell.

She is survived by daughters Margaret Neighbors, and Marilyn Jones and husband Chuck; grandchildren James Kyle neighbors and wife Crystal, Charilyn Milburn and husband Joe, Johnny Chuck Jones, and Marjorie Jones; great grandchildren Alexis Neighbors, Jace Ray Milburn, Josey Milburn, Kinzlee Nicole Jones, and Gunner Jones.
