Naomi Winsett

Naomi Barnett Winsett, 92 years young, went to her heavenly rest Dec. 18, 2017, surrounded by her children.

April 4, 1947, she married the love of her life and soulmate C.W. Winsett, who passed Oct. 12, 1992.

Naomi was always involved in her church activities including serving as president of Women’s Ministries, Sunday school teaching and anywhere needed.

Naomi was a homemaker who along with husband raised a one-acre garden that fed family and many friends. She was one of 14 children who was taught to be hard workers and love the Lord.

She is survived by one daughter, Almeta Messick and husband Terry; three sons, Wayne Winsett, Ronnie and Stacia Winsett, Rick and Kim Winsett; gransons Donnie, Steve and Billy Freeman, Patrick and Justin Winsett, Caleb Winsett, Derick and Austin Winsett; sister, Mary Dwight and brother Charley Barnett; 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a special friend, Renee Rices, who spent many hours caring for her needs.
