Sharon L Slattery

Sharon Lou (Powers) Slattery was born on March 31, 1957 to Jack and Lou Ella Powers in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on August 30, 2023 in her home, surrounded by loving family at the age of 66.

While growing up in Shawnee, Sharon attended Pleasant Grove, South Rock Creek and Shawnee High School. While in high school Sharon was selected for the 1972 Pottawatomie All-Star basketball team.

She had many hobbies, among these were reading, cooking all the kids favorites, which of course included brown beans and cornbread with fried potatoes, homemade lasagna and chicken and dumplings. Her greatest accomplishment in her eyes was getting to have grandkids to spoil. She greatly appreciated the time that she got to spend with her family. Her son, David, said you could sometimes find her playing her favorite game, the Mouse Game at the casino. Boy did she enjoy winning!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Powers and Lou Bergsten; twin sister, Karen Wells; baby Carson Cook; and little Gary Powers.

Leaving to cherish her memory are her husband, Sam Slattery; two children, David Cook and Michelle Price (Thomas); her brother Gary Powers (Sana); grandchildren: Raven and Chase McIver; Madison, Conner and Caden Cook; Haven, Tommy and Landry Price; Brent Powers; Heather Del Moral; Brandon Powers and Taylor Haser; many nieces and nephews and a host of good friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
