Alvin C. "Flash" Gordon age 76 of Bardstown was born October 5, 1937 to the late Samuel Lumby and Ethel Faye Nevius Gordon in Danville, KY and returned to his Heavenly Father March 27, 2014. Mr. Gordon was a retired fork lift operator for Ford Motor Company Truck Plant and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Among those who preceded him in death include his sisters, Hazel Fuell, Mary Osa Gordon, Ruth Cook, Ethel Pearl Payne and Erbie Gorden; brothers, Estill and Robert Gordon; niece, Edith Ellis; and his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Priscilla Smith Gordon; daughter, Trina Russell (Kirby); son, Mark Gordon; sister, Frances Montgomery; grandchildren, Hannah and Hunter Russell; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held 12 P.M. Monday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may pay their respects from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. Sunday at Schoppenhorst.
