Angela Marie Hunt Swartz

Angela Marie Hunt Swartz, age 55, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 8, 2025. She was born on October 21, 1969, in Louisville, Kentucky to Sharon (Jones) Hunt and the late Roy “Sonny” Hunt. Angela was a member of Plum Creek Baptist Church in Waterford, Kentucky where she was very involved. She was active in the Sisters in Christ program through her Sunday School. She loved “Beauty and the Beast” and was known for her unique sense of humor. Angela received her Master’s Degree in Social Work, which led her to become a social worker for Child Protection Services, working with and helping children whom she dearly loved. Her loving personality and her kind, big heart will always be remembered by those who loved her. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Hunt; sister-in-law, Donna Swartz and numerous extended family and friends. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 24 years, Bill Swartz whom she enjoyed 30 total years with; mother, Sharon Hunt; sister, Shannon Rigney; brother, Russell Hunt (Sheila); nieces and nephews, Kendra Rigney, Nicholas Rigney (Kami), Monica Gonzales and Justin Long (Ashley); numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; mother-in-law, Junanita Smith; fur babies, Albert, Gracie and Leia and a host of dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 12:00 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 1:00 until 8:00 and on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 9:00 until the time of service at the funeral home.
