Ann Hale, 81, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, December 20th, 2016, at home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 56 years, along with her son, a daughter, and a granddaughter, have welcomed her into Heaven. She leaves her lifelong memories to be cherished by her three daughters, Arden, Elizabeth and Donna, her extended family and her many friends. She loved her church, Divine Savior Lutheran in Shepherdsville, KY, and was passionate about her work at the Yum Center, designing Derby Hats for her business, and leading the ring crew during the annual World Championship Saddlebred Horse Show for many years.
Ann was born in Roanoke, Virginia and was an avid equestrian since she began showing horses at a young age. Her showing career lasted a lifetime and provided her the opportunity to travel and meet many friends who shared her love of horses. Her adult life was spent supporting her husband's military career and it showed in her love and patriotism for our country. Her family is planning a celebration of her life this coming spring and will notify friends and family of the date. At her request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent, in her memory, to Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Horse Farm, a cause she was very passionate about.
Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Preston Hwy in charge of arrangments.
