Mr. Bobby Eugene Spurgeon, age 61, of Brooks returned to his Heavenly Father on September 17, 2022. Mr. Spurgeon was born on October 23, 1960, in Louisville, KY to the late Woodrow and Irene (Curtsinger) Spurgeon. He was a contractor for LG&E and was an avid U of L fan. He loved playing jokes and especially loved his family. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, and son, Cory Spurgeon.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 24 years, Jeana (Harley) Spurgeon; children, Vanessa and Kyle Spurgeon; grandchildren, Kinsley Meyer, Carter Spurgeon, Kennedy Spurgeon, and Anneliese Perry; and brother, David Spurgeon (Teri).
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, September 23, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with cremation to follow.
