Carole Ann Smith

Mrs. Carole Ann Smith, age 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 6, 2023. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 13, 1942. Mrs. Smith was a member of Chapel Hill United Church of Christ and a former member of L&N Golf Club. Carole was an avid fan of all sports especially UofL Women’s basketball and the Cincinnati Reds. She was a volunteer at the Audubon Hospital Gift Shop. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents, James Harold Clark and Marcella Clark; husband, George Smith; sister, Barbara Linker; and brother, Dan Clark.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ron Russell (Nani), Debbie Keith (Andy), Sandy Oppel (John), Dave Russell (Glenda); brothers, Ken Clark (Barbara), David Clark (Jane); grandchildren, Chris Dunbar, Sean Dunbar, Alex Russell, Whitney Russell, Keoni Russell, Rhiannon Russell, Lauren Oppel, Brandon Russell, Corey Russell; 6 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 12:00 pm Noon until the time of service at 6:00 pm.
