Cathy George Stephens

Mrs. Cathy Stephen’s, age 71 of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Cathy was born on February 5, 1953, to the late Charles Hardison and Carol (Freeman) Price. She was a nurse by profession for over 47 years, she was a compassionate and loving wife and mother not only to her children but to many others. Cathy enjoyed baking, sewing, crafts, spending time camping, and on trips to the beach to hang out with family and friends. Cathy will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles “Chuck” Hardison, and granddaughter Naomi Grace.

She is survived by her loving husband Mike Stephens, sister Cynthia Ball, nephew Joseph Jaggers, daughter Candace Helweg- Felts (Kevin), the children’s father Douglas Helweg, son Roger Noe, daughter Melissa Johnson, grandchildren Calvin Noe, and Tiffany Thompson.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday March 19, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.
