Mr. Cecil Edward Stidham, age 95, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 30, 2021. Mr. Stidham was born in Norton, Virginia on September 20, 1926 to the late Oliver Stidham and Bessie Amburgy Stidham. He was a devoted member of Radiant Life Church of God, retired from General Electric and was a proud Army Veteran who served during WWII.
Among those who preceded him in death are, his beloved wife, Evelyn Stidham and his two sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Teresa Thomas, Sheila Ann Lee and Marvin Stidham; grandchildren, Robin (Lance), Shawna (Eric), Tonya (Ronnie), Marty, Tori, Chelsea, Isaac, Shana and Nevaeh; 10 great- grandchildren; 13 great- great grandchildren and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
