Cecilette Riggs (Rose) passed away on 4-13-26 at home surrounded by her family. Cecilette was born June 4,1951 to Cecil and Helen Rose. She grew up in Fern Creek, KY. Went to Fern Creek High School. She married Sam Riggs on March 1, 1975. They had three children Jennifer, Sherry, and Sam, Jr. Cecilette was a stay at home mom which she enjoyed very much. She loved being around her family. She adored all children and doing what she could for them. Cecilette is survived by her husband of 51 years Sam Riggs, her children Jennifer (Jeremy), Sherry (Greg), and Sam, Jr. (Brandy). She is also survived by five grandchildren Emily, Gracie, Annabelle Johnson, Marella and Ruby Riggs; her sister, Cat-Ethel (David) Arnold, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held Monday, April 20, 2026 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Brooks Road at Preston Highway) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 1-8 pm and on Monday from 10 am until the time of service.
