Cherry Darlene Williams

Cherry Darlene Williams, age 82, of Brooks, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, with loving family by her side. She was born on December 6, 1943, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to the late Fred and Luvena (Roberts) Noel. Cherry was baptized at Gethsemane Baptist Church. She enjoyed working outside on her landscapes and in her flower garden. Cherry was an avid reader and her interests varied in her book selections. She was very creative; taking any house or garden design as a challenge. Her determination was an inspiration to others. She made leather baskets with her husband and volunteered helping a church in Louisville with their newsletter. She liked to cook and her family and friends will always remember her banana pudding, usually eating it before anything else. Memories of making homemade ice cream is something her family will always cherish. Her generous, loving and kind nature will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 62 years, Edison Williams; daughter, Tracee Swan (TJ); son, Vance Williams; sister, Roxanna Sweat; brothers, Sonny Noel and Fred D. Noel and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm with Memorial Service at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.)
