

Christopher Lee Schlatter, age 25, of Bardstown, Kentucky passed away on September 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of endless love and laughter, He was born on January 18, 2000, in Louisville, Kentucky. Christopher was a radiant soul whose infectious energy and endless stories brightened every room he entered.
Christopher’s heart belonged to his family. He shared an unbreakable bond with his oldest son, Lucas Schlatter, age 6, with whom he spent countless hours exploring the world of Minecraft, building not just structures, but memories that will endure forever. His youngest son, Linkin Schlatter, age 4, was his constant shadow, idolizing his daddy as his greatest hero and “bestestestest friend”. Christopher’s dream of having a daughter came true with his precious “Willy May” Schlatter, almost 2 years old, whom he adored with all his heart. He cherished his devoted wife and mother of his children, his “honey”, Brenya Schlatter, whose love was his anchor.
A true jack-of-all-trades, Christopher possessed a remarkable talent for fixing and building, taking immense pride in the work he did with his hands. He cherished memories of working on cars and hunting alongside his grandfather “Peepaw” Rodney Schlatter. Those moments in the garage and the woods shaped his spirit.
Christopher is survived by his loving wife, Brenya Schlatter; his children, Lucas, Linkin and Lilly May Schlatter; his mother, Jennifer McCoy (Shannon); his father, Shannon Schlatter; his grandparents, Rodney Schlatter (Sharon), Steve Hilton (Sharon) and Craig Dawson; his siblings, Aubrey Wood (Kenneth), Darran Schlatter (Krystle) and his twin brother, Brandon Schlatter; Daryl Judd (Stephanie) whom he loved as his brother as well as countless amazing friends.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, John Noltemeyer and most importantly, his Mamaw Glenda whose guidance and love he carried throughout his life. Christopher’s vibrant spirit, boundless curiosity and unwavering devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His stories, his laughter and his love for life will forever echo in the lives he touched.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 1:00 until 6:00. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 6:00 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.).
