Mr. Claude Edward Johnson

Mr. Claude Edward Johnson, age 86, of Louisville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 25, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 6, 1939, to the late Clarence Allen Johnson and Madge (Acuff) Johnson. He was a United States Navy Veteran. Claude was a loving Father, Son, Grandfather, and Uncle. He graduated from Manual High School, where he played football. He went on to work for LG&E. He retired from General Electric after many years working in maintenance. Claude was an active member of Summit Hills Baptist Church. He was very involved in his church community and those around him. His family was the center of his universe. Whether it was lending a helping hand, offering a listening ear, or simply showing up when it mattered most, Claude never hesitated to put others first. He brought light, laughter, and warmth to every moment. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Claude was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Judy Johnson.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Kelly Gajewski; son, Jason Johnson (Rebecca); 9 grandchildren, Sarah, Katie, Mary Beth, Jimmy, Michael, Jada, Emma, Ava, and Jett; 6 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Harrison, Walter, Charlie, Marjorie, and Willa.

A Graveside Service will be conducted on Thursday, January 8, 2025, at 10:30 am at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central (2501 N Dixie Blvd Radcliff, KY 40160).
