Clem "Dickie" Burton

Mr. Clem "Dickie" Burton, Jr., age 84, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on August 24, 2014. Mr. Burton retired from General Electric after 36 years of service and was an avid UK fan and hunter. Mr. Burton was a member of Bullitt Masonic Lodge # 155, AARP Senior Group of Mt. Washington and Union Local #761. Mr. Burton was a former coach for Okolona, Brooks and Blue Lick baseball and softball.

Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Clem, Sr. and Pinkie Burton; nine brothers and five sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Burton; children, Doug Burton (Vicki) and Kim Burton (Kevin Seiter); and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Norton Brownsboro ICU, surgery, the 5th floor nursing staff, doctors and physicians assistants.

Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road; use John Harper entrance) with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 2-8 pm and Thursday from 9 am until time of service at Schoppenhorst. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus.
