Among those who preceded him in death include, his mother, Martha Maxine Watkins and sister, Lavon Watkins.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Wesley Anne Watkins; father, James "J.C." Watkins; siblings, Linda Mattingly (Paul), Elizabeth Tweedy, Carolyn Meadows and Lisa Harris; a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, December 16, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd). Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at Schoppenhorst. Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Hebron Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the funeral home.
