

He went peacefully. Those who knew him knew that he was a hard worker, an honest man of
God, a loyal and loving husband, and a strong father.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed woodworking in his shop, serving God, and watching Kentucky Basketball games. He was a member of Vision Valley Baptist Church in Mt Washington, KY. He always taught his children to love God first, be honest, and work hard.
He is survived in life by his loving wife, Michelle; his three children, Charlie (Chuckles) Baker, JC (J.) Baker (Hannah), Evelyn (Sissy) Bell (Philip); his three grandchildren, Ezra, Elijah, and Alyce, his siblings Larry, Linda, and Lisa, and his dog, Walter.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Coleman (JC) and his mother Ercell
Hackney, countless friends and relatives, and his dog, Crusher.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the building maintenance fund of
Vision Valley Baptist Church.
