David Alan Simon, age 65, of Shepherdsville, passed on June 12, 2021. David was born in El Paso, TX on July 4, 1955 to the late James E. Simon and Wanda L. Simon. He was the owner of the former David Simon Electric and lifelong Master Electrician. Most of all was a loving father and grandfather who simply went by “Pop.”
He was preceded in death by his parents James E. Simon and Wanda L. Simon and brother Douglas A. Simon.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Kathy Simon; daughter April Atherton and Damon Atherton; son Nick Simon and Beth Simon; and the light of his life, grandson, Greyson; as well as many loved brothers and sisters, family members and close friends.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 3 pm until 8 pm and on Thursday from noon until the time of the service at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to WHAS Crusade for Children.
