Dennis Earl McCoy

Dennis Earl McCoy, age 67, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on July 17, 2023. He worked in the canteen at Ford Motor. Dennis was born in Louisville, Kentucky on July 30, 1955, to Fred Earl McCoy and the late Shirley Moore McCoy.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley McCoy; three sons, Michael McCoy, Dennis McCoy, Leo McCoy ; brother, Terry McCoy; step brother, Charlie A. Mattingly. Dennis leaves to cherish his memory his wife Lynda McCoy; son, Marc McCoy; father, Fred Earl McCoy (Jean); sisters, Peggy Thurmond and Paula Orr (Gary); brothers, David McCoy (Tina), Jerry McCoy (Beth), Michael McCoy (Angela), Mark Mattingly and Buck Rucker (Shirley); step sisters, Teresa Gronda (Paul) and Susie Peters; step brother, Joe Mattingly (Mona); daughter in law, Shannon Hatfield-McCoy; 7grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; fur baby, Sassy Mae McCoy;and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, July 24, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Mt. Holly Cemetery. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Monday from 12 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
