Diana was a woman of great faith. She loved her family deeply. She was a caring and loving person who was always giving to others. Diana enjoyed reading and playing bingo. She could fill any role that needed to be filled, always putting others first. Diana’s love and kind voice will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather S.J. Powell, siblings, Joyce Ann, Bill Swift and Harold Swift, and sister-in-law Melanie Swincher.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Terry Hammer; her sons, Jeffrey, Jason (Courtney), and Jonathan (Elaine); her grandchildren, Deven, Mia, Greyson, Ryland, and a little boy on the way along with a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 am on Friday, March 13, 2026, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, 4895 N. Preston Hwy, with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 2 pm to 8 pm and on Friday from 9 am till the time of service at 10 am.
