Dorothy "Dottie" Louise (Liebegott) Shaw, 63, of Lafayette, IN formerly of Louisville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father Sunday, November 10, 2013 surrounded by her loving family after a 28 year battle with cancer.
Dottie was born November 13, 1949 in Louisville to the late Walter A. and Eleanor Bernadine (Chasteen) Liebegott, Jr. She was a graduate of Shawnee High School and had later attended the University of Kentucky. Dottie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in the Primary and Relief Society. She liked to travel and enjoyed the Kentucky Derby festivities, shopping and her collections.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Linda Jenkins (Richard) of Pine Village, IN; brother, Walter "Junie" Liebegott (Debbie) of Bardstown; nephews, Justin (Marla) and Darin; nieces, Shannon, Buffy (Chris), Rhonda and Beth.
Funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from noon until 8:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Saturday at Schoppenhorst.
