Mr. Dorsey “Jim” Whited, age 86, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Mr. Whited was born in Benham, KY on September 13, 1934 to the late James and Molly (Wilson) Whited. Mr. Whited was a retired Army veteran. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents; grandson, Ricky Whited; and great-grandson, Landon Bramlett.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Marie (Caretti) Whited; children, Denise (Rob) Clements, James, Tony (Mitzi) and Mark (Kim) Whited; grandchildren, Stephanie (Craig) Cline, Alyssa (Frankie) Parra, Candace, Sara, Kristen and Emily Whited; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Bramlett, Zoe and Gabriella Parra; and siblings, Mary Fox, Charlie Whited and Jimmy Lynn Stallings.
Funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Wednesday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
