Edgar "Eddie" Dawson

   Edgar “Eddie” Selby Dawson, age 86 of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 17, 2023. He retired from General Electric after 36 years of service. He was the proud owner and operator of Grandma's RV Park in Shepherdsville. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Shepherdsville, enjoyed farming for himself as well as others and landscaping. He loved working on old cars and above all, loved caring for his donkeys. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Graham Dawson; parents, Horace and Grace French Dawson; brothers, James, Elwood, Bernie, Bobby, Sam, Ray, Donny and Benny Dawson and his sisters, Thelma Jean Bryant, Pat Jackson and Bet Dorsey.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Darlene Greenwell, Timmy Dawson, Gina Redden (Greg) and Joe Dawson; grandchildren, Jeremy Greenwell (Lori), Chad Greenwell (LeAnne), Lacey Dawson, Tyler Redden, Jordan Dawson, Dawson Redden and Trey Dawson; great-grandchildren, Allie Mudd (Michael), MaKenzie Knauer, Alex Knauer, Anniston, Aisley and Arbor Maria; great-great granddaughter, Harper Mudd; brothers-in-law, Bob Dorsey and Raymond Graham; sister-in-law, Roma Houchin and special friend, Robert Watkins.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 10 am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Shepherdsville with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 1 pm until 8 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy.
