Elizabeth "Liz" Gayle Ray

Ms. Elizabeth “Liz” Gayle Ray, age 77, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 3, 2017. Ms. Ray was born in Evansville, IN on March 23, 1940 to the late Robert L. and Florence Leonard. She was Catholic by faith, a 1958 graduate of Valley High School.

Among those who preceded her in death include, her daughter- in- law, Bambi Lynn Ray.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Michael Ray; grandchildren, Brian Ray (Ashli), Megan Ray, Heather Whitaker (Michael) and Holly Ray; great grandchildren, Ryken and Beau; siblings, James Leonard (Betty) and Charlene Gross (Charlie) and a host of other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at St. Gabriel The Archangel Catholic Church (5505 Bardstown Rd., Louisville) with cremation to follow. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 east one mile from Bardstown Rd.) Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kentucky Right to Life Association.
