Mr. Franklin D. McCoy, age 75, of Highview returned to his Heavenly Father on August 22, 2012. Mr. McCoy was a retired truck driver, a member of the River City Masonic Lodge and a member of Okolona Christian Church. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Hilary and Ruby McCoy; son, Bruce McCoy; and brother, David McCoy. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 40 years, Deanna McCoy; sons, David Archer (Dee) and Steven Archer (Debbie); daughters, Deborah Newman, Brenda Hogue (Matt), Lisa Woodruff McCoy (Jeff Henley) and Deidra Williams (Shawn); 8 grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Heather, Derek, Danieele, Jeff, Jenna and Austin; 8 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jasmyne, Emma, Lexi, Zoey, Matthew, Mila, Jacob and 2 on the way; and sisters, Marilyn Kotheimer, Mary Winsor and Jeannie Reeser.
Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Monday, August 27, 2012 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
