Gerald "Jerry" Johnson

Gerald “Jerry” Johnson, age 86 of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, with loving family by his side. He was born on May 29, 1938, in Leitchfield, Kentucky to the late James and Frances (Darnell) Johnson. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #511, honorary member of 13 additional lodges, a Past Master of Valley Lodge 511 and Boaz Lodge. He was awarded the Honor of Master Ritualist and previously Mason of the Year in 2006. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Delores Brown, Delton Johnson, Larry Johnson, Gary Johnson and Phillip Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 64 years, Reva (Fields) Johnson; daughter, Evonna Risinger (Joseph Gemme); grandsons, Benjamin Risinger and William Risinger; siblings, Howard Johnson, Roger Johnson (Ann), Beverly Wells (Ferrell) and Darrell Johnson (Theresa) and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 10 am in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery. A special Masonic Service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 7 pm at the funeral home to honor Jerry. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 9 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
