Gerald Wayne "John" Johnson

Gerald Wayne “John” Johnson, age 73, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky.  passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. He was born in  Louisville, Kentucky on June 24, 1951, to the late  Henry Clay Johnson and Elfie Mae “Grimes”. He was owner and operator of Red Wing Shoe store in Shepherdsville, Ky. ,a member of Shepherdsville Church of Christ and a member of American Bowling  Association.  He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.   He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Connie Johnson; children, Kristin Johnson and John Clay Johnson; grandchildren Justice Devin Johnson (Sunnie), Madeline Johnson (Braydon), Ava Hebner and Sophia Hebner: great grandchildren, Jasper Johnson, Jase Johnson and Summer Johnson: beloved and best friend and pet, Prince.  A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025 at   Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may visit Wednesday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday 10.00 until time of service.
