Geraldine Oliver (Wilson)

Geraldine (Wilson) Oliver, 76, of Hardinsburg, Kentucky passed away peacefully on October 17 2018. She was born on November 27, 1941 in Louisville to the late, Thurston and Rosemary Wilson. She retired from Kentucky Metals and enjoyed decorating her home and tending to her flower garden.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Oliver; infant daughter, Denise Charlene Schneider; brothers, Butch, Ronnie, David, and Gary Wilson.

Geraldine is survived by her son, Perry Joe Mattingly and her six step-children, Norma House (Mike), Brenda Downs (Dave), Diane Oliver, Debbie Oliver, Chuck Oliver, and Becky Duncan (Tony); grandchildren, Alex, Chad, Corey, Krystal, Sarah, Nathan, Eric, Stephen, Jason, Matthew, Beau, Justin, Thomas, Emma, Skyler; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Wilson (Robbie) and Ricky Wilson; nieces, Lynn Wilson Spalding and Amber Wilson Lamkin; extended family, Jim Rentscheler, and a loving host of other friends and family. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Hannah Cox, and to the faculty at Atria Blankenbaker for their care and compassion.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6 pm on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Family and Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 4 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
