Ginger Wood Murrell

Ginger Wood Murrell, age 68, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. She was born on April 26, 1957, to Ruth (Klein) Wood and the late Fred Wood. Ginger was very artistic; she loved to draw free hand just by looking at a picture. She enjoyed her flowers and hummingbird feeders. She loved cartoon movies, especially Disney. Ginger was an amazing cook. Her family fondly remembers her spaghetti and meatballs where it took her years to perfect her recipe. Her macaroni and cheese recipe was also a favorite of her family. Spending time with her family, grandchildren and dogs is what Ginger held most dear to her heart. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Murrell and her aunt, Marcella.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 48 years, Harold Murrell; daughters, Casey Bannon (Beaver) and Ashley Murrell; son, Devon Murrell (Janessa); grandchildren, Elizabeth Noel Bannon, Kendall LaPradd and Luke Bannon; mother, Ruth Wood; sister, Jeri Morreale; grand-pups, Mia, Teddy, Boomer, Diamond and Beans and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2:00 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Hebron Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 10:00 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
