Gloria Dean Wade

Gloria Dean Wade, age 89, of Fairdale, Ky passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 08, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 4, 1935, to the late Chester Cape and Iona Sue Cape. Gloria was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, late husband Billy Eugene Wade Sr., sons Billy Eugene Wade Jr. and William Russell, two brothers Charles Cape and Arville Cape, and sister Marie Gibson.    

She is survived by her daughters-in-law Velina Wade and Becky Thomason, sister-in-law Margaret Miller, grandchildren Tony Wade (Felicia), Serena Carver (Andy), Brandon Wade, and Jason Wade (Alex). Great-grandchildren Makayla Vincent, Dakodah Wade, Cole Carver, Mika Wade, and Trace Wade, one great-great-granddaughter Arabella Rose. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Bethany Memorial Park.
