Harold Ray Ewing, Sr

Mr. Harold Ray Ewing, Sr, age 60, of Elizabethtown, KY, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Harold was born in Louisville, KY on October 9, 1961, to the late Henry Ewing and Esther (Sanders) Ewing. He attended Brookside Wesleyan Methodist Church, he enjoyed fishing, camping, old cars, and music. He was known to be a prankster, liked listening to music, and liked helping people and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He loved his wife and his family most of all and he will be truly missed by them all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws Denny and Wanda Rogers, two brothers, Michael Ewing, Rodman Ewing, four brother-in-laws, Jeff, James, and Darrell Rogers, Larry Higgins, and sister-in-law Betty Childress.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 42 years, Pattie (Rogers) Ewing, his two sons Carl Ewing (Missy), and Harold Ray Ewing, Jr (Alicia), eight grandchildren, Alyssa Ewing, C.J. Ewing, Randall Newman, Brandon Ewing, Peyton Gibbs, Alexis Chinn, Aiden Ewing, Riley Ewing, and Logan Ewing, three great-grandchildren, Khloe Edmonds, Caseton Becton, Kolton Durbin, and two sisters, Diane Roberts (Randy), Bonnie Steiben (Billy), along with a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 13, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.
