James Dan "Danny" Jones, Jr.

Mr. James Dan “Danny” Jones, Jr., age, 56 of Louisville, Ky passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born on February 13, 1968, to the late James Dan Jones, Sr., and Geraldine (Murphy) Jones. Danny was an avid University of Louisville fan, he enjoyed football, fishing, lending a helping hand to his family and neighbors, he never meets a stranger and was always willing to pitch in. However, most of all he was a loving and devoted husband and father, he had a great admiration for his wife and his 3 sons. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father.     

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Shannon Jones, his three sons Hunter James Jones, Hayden Alan Jones, and Connor Nash Jones, his mother Geraldine Jones, sister Dana Hornback (Wayne), brother-in-law Shawn Tarrence (Michelle), along with a niece, nephews, great nephew and other dear family and friends. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). With burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
