James M. Hayden Jr.

Mr. James Mills Hayden Jr., age 85, of Bullitt County, KY, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Mr. Hayden was born in Lebanon, KY on November 10, 1938 to the late James M. Hayden, Sr. and Mary Bell Abell Hayden. He was Catholic by faith, a computer programmer and served in the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, his siblings, Mary Margaret Allen, Elizabeth Phelps and Benny Hayden preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 60 years, Ann Faye Ruley Hayden; children, James M. Hayden, III (Sandra) and Lisa Hayden Parsons (Dave); grandchildren, David Coyle Jr., Kayla Hayden (Brandon) and James M. Hayden IV (Jamie); great-grandchildren, Hayden M. Coyle, James Hayden V and Julian Hayden; siblings, Tillie Dillard, Patricia Ann Abell and Eleanor Thomas and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, September 16, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of his service at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
