James "Jim" Russell Boardman

Mr. James “Jim” R. Boardman, age 82 of Hillview, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Jim was born on November 13, 1940, to the late Evan M. Boardman and Mildred Helen (Woody) Boardman. He retired from Home Improvements after many years of service. He was an Army Veteran, a member of Southeast Christian Church, he loved to fish, hunt, do outdoorsy things like flea markets, and yard sales, he loved woodworking, and most of all he loved his family and friends. Jim will be truly missed by all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by parents, and his wife Karen Boardman, who he truly loved beyond measures.

He leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Michelle Steward, Michael Boardman (Terry), and Mark Boardman (Annette), seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Along with a host of other dear family and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy.) Cremation was chosen. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 10:00 until the time of service.
