James Boyd Purvis

James Boyd Purvis, age 40, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on May18, 2023. He was a carpenter with Brotherhood of Carpenters the Intex System and a member of Eastern Gate Baptist Church. James was born in Tallahassee, Florida on June 11, 1982, to Dennis and Rita Drake Purvis. James leaves to cherish his memory his parents; sisters, Angie Bates (Rutherford) and Beth Grigsby (Sam); three nephews, Tyrell, Ezra and Logan; also cherished by Mason, Dylan and Weston; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Wednesday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
