Mrs. Janet Lee Welch, age 92, of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, February 10, 2023. She was born in Spencer County, Kentucky on February 3, 1931. Mrs. Welch worked as a cafeteria worker at the Lebanon Junction Elementary School. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Willoughby, Elizabeth Willoughby; husband, Judge Elmer Welch; son, Stephen Elmer Welch; and grandchild, Stephen Brent Welch.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Patricia Gayle Lampkin (Joseph); grandchild, Adam Tyler Welch; great grandchildren, Cayleigh and Amari Welch.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial to follow in Hebron Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm and again on Friday from 1:00pm until the time of service at 2:00pm. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Breast Cancer Awareness Society.
