Janice Marie Ballard Brightman

Mrs. Janice Marie Ballard Brightman, age 80, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 8, 2022.  Mrs. Brightman was born in Louisville, KY on December 20, 1941 to the late James Forrest Ballard and Willie Pearl Hodges Ballard.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Dana T. (Hester) Murphy; a brother, Jerry Ballard and a grandson, Dustin W. Johnson. in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Francis Brightman, two sons, Richard “Ricky” Hester and Craig Hester; a daughter, Debra “Debbie” Johnson (Tim); three grandchildren, Steven Hester, Dyllan Hester and David Johnson; two great grandchildren, Bailey Johnson and Ashton Hester; a brother, James T. Ballard and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 13, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy.  Shepherdsville, KY 40165) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 12 noon until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
