Jerry Dudley Smith

Mr. Jerry Dudley Smith, age 78, of Taylorsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, July 21, 2025. Jerry was born on November 21, 1946, to the late John and Margaret “Cox” Smith. Jerry loved spending time with family and friends. Jerry was a proud Veteran, who served in the United States Army. Jerry loved being outdoors, he loved camping and was an avid fisherman. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Among those who preceded him in death is his daughter, Heather Nakos (Philip); parents; brothers, Carl Smith, Jim Smith, Larry Smith and William Smith; and sister, Frances Ponder. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Carolyn Smith; daughter, Amy Brown (Paul); grandchildren, Ashley Lewis (Gary), Jessica Curtsinger (Harley), Tiffany Roark, Tyler Matherly, Cody Roark (Michaela), Anthony Matherly, Hallie Thomas (Seth) and Belle Nakos; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Anna Mae Gibson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other dear family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, July 28, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 east at 123 Winning Colors Dr.) with entombment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and Monday, July 28, 2025, from 9:00am until the time of service at the funeral home.
